Product Description
The Orsat apparatus is a portable, manual laboratory instrument used to determine the volumetric composition of flue gases ( O, and CO) to analyze combustion efficiency It works by passing gas samples through specific chemical solutions in pipettes potassium hydroxide, alkaline pyrogallic acid, and ammoniacal cuprous chloride to absorb gases in sequence.
SPECIFICATIONS & FEATURES
Tube Design: Three or four pipettes are used: one for CO , one for O , and one for CO .
Gas Burette: A 100 ml calibrated glass tube, usually water jacketed to maintain constant
temperature and pressure.
Leveling Bottle: A flask filled with water (or brine) used to move the gas sample into and
out of the absorption pipettes.
Absorption Pipettes: Specialized glass containers filled with liquid reagents for specific
gas removal.
